APCW & The Founder J Todd

I think the founder of the APCW (assoc players casinos webmasters), J Todd, 20 years ago or so, was a pissed off gambling website owner, who saw the way some online casinos and poker rooms cheated players and mistreated webmasters they described as partners.

So he started the APCW, audited a few casino games for a while and had some traction getting a few unscrupulous casinos to pay some players their winnings, after refusing for spurious reasons, too many to note here. His main remit was helping out webmasters who I believe wouldn't have seen their dough otherwise. He's an industry man for the most part.

The GPWA (gambling portal webmasters assoc) under Cynthia Carley were the main advocates of webmasters, but Todd has out-lived most of them, figuratively and physically speaking.

Player Complaints
Others were out there in the early online gambling scene, specifically getting casino players paid, such as the OPA (online players assoc) and the Casinomeister (bryan bailey). For further details, I suggest Bailey's 25 years of Casinomeister july 2023 podcast entry. Seperate folk dealt with the USA facing Sportbooks and UK Bookmakers who were shafting the player for fun. That's a story for another day.

Governmental Interference & APCW Videos
Along came the USA politicos, as they do, when big money is involved they do not control, via the 2006 Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA), the rest is history.

Todd began producing videos digging out the riggers and bad guys in the online gaming industry, most especially the regulators. Todd's APCW and Carley's GPWA were both soon snapped up by Michael Corfman, who also runs pretty much the most successful gaming related websites ever, the Casino City network.

Todd is paid to travel the world attending gaming conferences and gets to berate the obvious, via weekly well researched videos by Corfman's team, from the woods out in the USA somewhere. He's not bad at it btw, funnily prickly. Someone has to do it.

Sandracer Opinion
1) Watch the weekly APCW videos. No one's doing it better.

2) The gaming licensors and regulators, like the UKGC (uk gambling commission) for example, plus the hedge funds that own the online gaming industry these days, pretend to be buffoons, but are really hardcore scoundrels in bow ties for the most part. Probably worse than the casino owners/pioneers that wound Todd up so much 2 decades ago. Keep at them Todd. Cheers, Sandracer.
