8:15 Struck Gold (18/1) has Luke Morris in the saddle today. The horse has arguably 3 or 4 lengths to find to win this. Morris was the 1st jockey to get this one home, it was a C&D victory.
That day, Morris let the horse bowl along behind the leaders, rather than the hold up job employed by all the other jockeys have done since. He stayed on to win well enough.
With Morris booked, I think they may be trying to emulate that run. The drift from an overnight 6/1, out to 28's, back into 12's, back out to 18's, shows me that no one knows what is going to happen here today. I'll take my chances at the 18's available. Cheers, Sandracer.
