Sandracer and I are taking a trip to Lingfield tomorrow so writing this up the night before the race hence no prices.

Lingfield 14:25

The classic “who beat who” and “whose turn is it next to win”. Perm one from the following

The Scorching Wind
Bravo Echo
Elna Bright
Autumn Blades

Lingfield 15:35

Wouldn’t put anybody off Tranquil Tiger as he run’s well fresh. Front runner Suits Me will find it difficult to dominate but his recent run behind Breeders Cup winner Gitano Hernando reads well in the Derby trial. Fiery Lad comes from a recent spin in Dubai and therefore a contender now I have amended my ways. Yahrab is a massive price if back in form.

Lingfield 16:10

Dance The Star (nap), Becausewecan and Sworn Tigress. Sworn Tigress needs to be the real deal to win this race. Becausewecan needs to overcome a 155 day course absence. Jamie Spencer has one ride at the meeting today, guess which horse?

Lingfield 16:45

Jaconet so prob a no bet at the prices. If I’m in a hole I may attempt an exacta keying her over Arganil, Glamorous Spirit and Inxile

Yip. up and out early today Slipper.

Fiery Lady for the Winter Derby.

I make Fiery Lad the jolly with a more favourable draw position.

Drawn out wide, still wins, and is a good price.

We shall see.

Sandracer,

Fun and games with Fallon being attacked when unsaddling Elna Bright after the 2.25 - anything to report?

Blogger GeeDee @ 6:38 pm, March 20, 2010

No sir, I never saw that.

I saw it jog in a furlong and a half behind after getting a dig after the first bend.

Great day out sandracer. Pity some of our prime bets when down in flames.

You and I should get together more often.. Take me up on that offer of a bookmaker raid when I'm next in London

Anonymous slipperytoad @ 9:52 am, March 21, 2010

Sandracer While you and I were jaw bone'ng about the winter derby result this happened.

Anonymous slipperytoad @ 9:55 am, March 21, 2010

To be honest, Sandracer, I was a little surprised to see Fallon riding here. He committed to ride Old McDonald in the bumper at Cheltenham on Wednesday but then opted out, saying he preferred to stay in Dubai.

Paul Carberry was drafted in as his replacement but in the end the horse never ran in the race.

Blogger GeeDee @ 9:58 am, March 21, 2010

Fallon certainly turned up though Geedee. My horses were there too, making up the numbers.

I don't know why Elna Bright's owner tried to beat Fallon up. I gather from reading the press reports, that the owner is not sure why.

It was hardly a fault of Fallon's from what I could tell.

Slipper saw what happened and never commented Fallon was at fault. Just a racing accident.
