Lingfield All Weather Polytrack Details
Lingfield utilises the expertise of Martin Collins Polytrack Specialists who installed the sand-like surface in 2001 for about £5 million I gather.
Lingfield Racetrack Draw Bias
5F, 6F
No discernable draw bias worth noting. The low draw used to be considered beneficial, aside from stall 1 over 6 furlongs, but a spate of winners from the 1 stall quashed that theory. Alongside of course Arena Leisure installing a new polytrack instead of the old equitrack running surface.
7F, 8F
Over 7&8 furlongs, there is no discernable draw bias worth noting. There was an apparent draw bias favouring the high draw over 7&8 furlongs during the early years on the Lingfield equitrack, but over recent years that trend has failed to reproduce itself. Again, most likely due to the new polytrack racing surface.
1M 2F & Above
Further distances there is no draw bias to be found statistically.
5F, 6F
