Race Overview: In the opener, Aaim For Applause is selected ahead of Berbice and Poppy Dean. Aaim For Applause was very green but ended up finishing a creditable second at Bath on his debut and he is very much one to consider today. Berbice has shown plenty of promise in two starts, including here and is one to consider also, while stable companion Irish Artist cost 60,000 euros and the market might guide as to his chance. Kristal Glory was behind Berbice on his course and distance debut but is sure to improve on that, while Lisselan Prospect at least improved from run one to two on his latest start, which came over course and distance, and Poppy Dean's Windsor debut was not without promise and today's extra furlong will probably help his cause. Our selection, once again, though, is Aim For Applause.

Race Overview: Viva La Flag is the selection in race two, with her main dangers given as Castara Bay and Royal Secrets. Viva La Flag was an eyecatching newcomer when finishing fourth to Truly Enchanting over seven furlongs here. With the winner having won a handicap off 80 last-time out, she can reasonably be expected to go well today. Castara Bay scores high for consistency and, with his form rating in the high-70s, must be given every chance today. Dream Of Fortune got the hang of things late on at Kempton on his debut and Jeremy Noseda's colt could go well today. Orchestrator showed promise on his two-year-old debut and is open to improvement, while Quaglino Way is related to winners, and Atayem, who hails from a stable that does well here, is another potential improver having shown debut promise at today's track. The Barry Hills-trained Inchinata is surely better than her soft-ground debut last season, and Roxie Princess was ahead of Atayem when finishing third over course and distance last time out. She has to be seriously considered today. However, having finished a length and a quarter ahead of her that day, Royal Secrets has to be given every chance too; the selection, though, is Viva La Flag.

Race Overview: Scarlet Flyer might be able to able to follow up his course and distance win and gets the call ahead of Blue Java and Ivory Lace. Much as Scarlet Flyer has been raised four pounds for his course and distance win last time, he has proven in the past that he can go well from around today's mark and, with a good draw to boot, he can go well. From that win the runner-up, Blue Java, is three pounds better off for a length and a quarter and he can go well, while Capricho is five pounds better off for two lengths so I guess that you can build the case there too. Ivory Lace comes here in good heart and, despite having been raised to, effectively, a mark of 78 for her recent win, she was a winner off 76 last season and, clearly in good heart, looks set to go well today. Tara Too and Material Witness will need to rediscover their best form if they are to feature, while Grey Boy seems to have regressed. California Laws has won his last three, but they have come on the all-weather, while Gavarnie Beau, who might prefer some ease in the going, is not out of it if the step up in trip brings about improvement. With Binnion Bay also having to prove it on Turf, we return to the selection, which is Scarlet Flyer.

Race Overview: The three that we are going to focus on here are Eager Igor, Camps Bay and Six Of Diamonds, with the selection being Eager Igor. Having been unlucky in running when third here two runs ago, Eager Igor proved the point by romping to victory at Haydock on Saturday. He had the look there of a well-handicapped horse and, accordingly, looks set to go well today. Camps Bay appreciated the step up in trip last time to win at Salisbury and he still looks competitive from a four pounds higher mark, while Six Of Diamonds also apreciated the step up in trip when scoring at Bath last time and he too looks an improver. A number of the others are open to improvement and the market might guide in such matters but, for us, the selection stays as Eager Igor.

Race Overview: There does not seem to be much strength in depth to this maiden handicap with Kasban and Squadron being our two against the field, with the vote going to Squadron. Squadron and Ryan Moore look a fair combination here for local trainer Amanda Perrett having shown solid form in maidens and handicaps and he could be open to some improvement on going that is projected to be good to firm, having never raced on anything worse than good to soft on Turf. Kasban cost a pretty penny and, whilst he looks unlikely to justify his price-tag of 360,000 euros, he put up an improved effort on what was his handicap debut when stepped up to 12 furlongs last time. Normal improvement again from that should put him in the mix. Best of the others might prove to be Linlithglow, who looks short of gears but the step up in trip might help in that respect today and Reciprocation might improve in first-time headgear. Once again, though, the selection is Squadron.

Race Overview: Mac Gille Eoin, Sacre Coeur and Telltime make it onto the short list in the finale, with the selection being Mac Gille Eoin. Following on from his very good second to Express Wish at Haydock eight days ago, Mac Gille Eoin is set to go up by three pounds in future ratings. As such, his chance is there for all to see and, from a good draw, he can go well. She is not very big but she sure has plenty of pace, as Telltime has proven in landing two of her last three races. Although she has been raised four pounds for a soft-ground, five-furlong Brighton win last time, she can go well over six today. Bateleur is interesting in that he looked progressive last season, not least when scoring at Newmarket on his latest start, for which he has been raised six pounds and he does lack a seasonal run this time around. Much as Sacre Coeur has not built on her course and distance maiden win, her recent defeats have come on going with ease in it and, with underfoot conditions more preferable tonight, she is not ruled out of a good run. Of the others, Shustraya has been going really well on the all-weather, while Rocker might improve for first-time headgear but, for the selection, we will stick with Mac Gille Eoin.
