◢ Uber large price horses I am keeping an eye on regarding the betting market. For various reasons, I think they are potentially overpriced odds runners.
It will be interesting to me atleast, to keep an eye on how these big priced runners do, re the market and how they run.
I won't bore anyone with how spotting the potential overpriced horse sausage is made. Just let's keep an eye on them. ⯇

Destiny Is All 22/1
Goes well over the distance from this kind of mark. Looks to have been underestimated, judging by the 22/1 price on offer at the moment.
Result⏵ (Unplaced 20/1) in touch in mid-division, jumped right at times, lost place before 9th, well beaten after 2 out, 6th.

Hidden Heroics Odds
Comes here as the Skelton second string. At the prices I'd rather have the bigger priced on of the two on the going. Major Fortune is currently 7/2, whereas you can get 18's+ on Hidden Heroics.
Result⏵ (4th 11/1) close up, shaken up 4 out, ridden next, lost ground rounding home turn, no extra from 2 out, 4th.

Galop De Chasse 28/1
Comes from the Venetia Williams yard fit, but not running brilliantly. A good day to bounce back to form from a decent mark, at huge odds, now the rain has come and he has the heavy going he likes.
Result⏵ (PU 22/1) Always in rear, tailed off 3 out, pulled up before next, PU.
5:29 Newton Abbot
Christopher Wood 18/1
Another from the Venetia Williams (@𝕏) stable. Currently running at 30lb lower than his best. I thought he showed a glimmer last time out. Has been sent back hurdling, which I'm taking as a sign the big fences have been getting in his way. If that's the case, he could well leave these way behind from today's mark over the smaller obstacles. If so, it'll be another smart training performance from a master trainer.
Result⏵ (3rd 40/1) Led, not fluent 8th, hit 3 out and soon headed, ridden home turn, stayed on one pace 2 out, 3rd.

2:25 Powdering (25/1) is running well and has every chance from what I can tell by looking at the formbook.
The drift out to 25/1 makes her a reasonable bet in my eyes.
3:00 Symbol Of Light (22/1) is currently on a hat~trick, so he's clearly in decent form. He's been winning AW handicaps, so I see no reason not to back him to defy the 3lb rise for his last win, in another AW handicap.
I make him aroundf about a 10/1 chance, so I'll take the 20's and see how he goes.
4:07 Savvy Victory (40/1) won well enough over the C&D last time he was here 2 races ago at 10/1. Today you can get 40's the repeat in the same grade of race.
It's slightly tougher looking, plus he's got 3lb extra, but he's 40/1. If you don't back 40/1 shots, you won't ever get a 40/1 winner.

1:30 Charlie's Choice (28/1) takes his chance in an apprentice handicap with Taryn Langley on board claiming 7lb.
Charlie is a bit of an in and out performer, but plenty capable of winning this if in the mood. At 28/1, I'll play.
3:15 Amazonian Dream (20/1) has 8 wins on the AW circuit and will be looking to make it nine today.
He's fit, running well, a bit high in the weights, but that's because he's been going well. I think he has a decent chance at serious odds.
3:50 Alcazan (20/1) has gone well on the AW in the past and looks quite a fair amount overpriced to me. I make here an arguable 10/1 shot to win this fillies only handicap.
4:20 Optician (33/1) is confusingly priced up as a no~hoper, but I think that's not the case
Maybe the car park draw is the reason? Over 2 miles, I doubt it'll matter much.
Gina Mangan is a decent jockey and could well give them alot to do late on to keep her out of the frame.

1:40 Dapperling (20/1) looks very much overpriced judged on a couple of reasonable enough runs on the AW in the past.
Coming from the Hannon yard, I doubt they've come here without a chance, just looking to make up the numbers, so I'll take my chances at the price.
3:25 Dark Dreamer (28/1) hasn't been in great nick the last couple, but I suspect he needed those runs. If he's fit now, he could well trouble these at a price.

🟃The All-Weather Championships is the top of the shop prize money~wise AW flat racing series, designed to bring/attract some of the big boys on to the AW circuit, to showcase the talents of thier horses, the top jockeys and trainers during the winter months. Initiated by the Arena Racing Company in 2013, the series spans from October to Good Friday each year, ending in the big money Finals Day.
🟃The 2025 AW Championships Finals Day is scheduled for Good Friday, April 18, at Newcastle Racecourse. This marks the 4th consecutive year the event will be held at Newcastle, following thew previous years final day venues at Lingfield Park and Wolverhampton.
🟃The event is renowned for offering over £1 million in prize money, making it the richest all~weather race day in Europe.
The series features six main championship categories:
To be eligible for Finals Day, horses must have at least three all~weather runs during the qualifying period. These can be at tracks in Great Britain, Ireland, France, the USA, Dubai, or Saudi Arabia.
The Finals Day will be held exclusively at Newcastle Racecourse this year. This is the fourth year running the event is based there since its move from Lingfield Park in 2022.
The All~Weather Vase takes place at Lingfield Park on the same day, offering over £390K in prize money. It includes 6 hcp races and a 1.5m contest for apprentice jockeys ~ aimed at being an ideal showcase for rising stars and horses who didn’t qualify for the Finals.

A nice return▸ For an £8 combination tricast, a racing punter has collected £61320.32 from Ladbrokes. Not bad going to predict the first 3 home in the National was it? I think it qualifies as an "Uber Bet"..
A few decent bets have reportedly been landed from punters combining the Mullin's horses, but this one apparently is the largest. An £8 C/T/C is a bold play. I guess if Maximus had won, there might well have been a lot of straight tricasts come up aswell.
Cal Gildart of Ladbrokes said: “And you thought Willie Mullins was the biggest winner at Aintree! It might have looked like a favourable renewal for the bookies, but this year’s Grand National has seen punters land some incredible wins, and this one tops the lot. This customer obviously likes the reigning champion trainer, but we’d love to know what they saw in two of his less well-regarded chasers.”
