Cheltenham Festival Bets - Tues Mar 12 2025 (Day Two)

2:40 Topweight Maxxum (28/1) is one of 5 Gordon Elliott trained horses in the race. The capper rates him the best of them. Add to that, this 8yo is clearly still improving.

Mind you ~ he'll have to go again to win this, granted.

Big field handicaps are of no concern to him, he rides up the front all the way and runs on at the end.

◢ Looks hand made for Cheltenham to me. Highly unlikely he'll go off at 28's tomorrow in my opinion. Might do. Won't though.

3:20 French Dynamite (50/1) is a top grade chaser who was tackling the likes of Shishkin 2 seasons back. I have an inkling he'll find the 3m2f run around on the cross country course a bit of a jolly jaunt in comparison.

◢ Potentially could be running in a few of the better races at Cheltenham this year imo.

4:40 Nells Son (40/1) is Nicky Richards last runner at Chelt this year after Famous Bridge ran a solid 6th today in the Ultima.

Nell has caught my eye because he has gone up a stone this season at the age of 10. If there's any more to come today's the day to do it.

The ground is just in his wheelhouse ~ any rain and he'll halve in price in a hot minute.

◢ The 40/1 on offer currently is way too big in comparison to his chances.
