2:35Pablo Del Pueblo (16/1) with decent footballer turned talented young jockey Christian Howarth aboard, still claiming 3lb, has caught my beady eye, at what looks like an arguably reasonable price to me.
The horse hinted at a return to form last time up. Running off of 63, he's in winning mark territory. He has a C&D to his name at 67, where he won easily from a wide berth.
Maybe he can make it a very Happy Christmas, cheers, Sandracer.
14:35 Lingfield (AW Polytrack) 16/1 Pablo Del Pueblo. (4th 14/1) Walked to post, slowly into stride, in rear and raced extremely wide, headway and led over 2f out, headed and lost two places 1f out, kept on, 4th.

6:15Nelson Gay (14/1) has drifted overnight from 8's to 14's. He has won over the C&D from this mark 4 races back at 4/1. The extra 10 points on the price may well be well deserved seeing as he hasn't run especially well since. The result is the handicapper has dropped him back to a winning mark, but neither the bookies, nor the punters seem convinced it'll make a difference. At 14's, I'll take my chances. Cheers, Sandracer.
5:55 11yo Fieldsman (20/1) has dropped a stone in the weights over a 12 month period. His form has been erratic, which might explain the drift from 10's to 20's, but he hasn't fallen off a cliff. 3 of his races over the year have been placed efforts, beaten less than a length.
If the Tony Carroll yard think his legs haven't gone and are right, winning from a mark of 49 in a class 6, with 7lb claimer on board Jack Doughty seeking his first ever win on the level, could be a doddle and a nice 20/1 xmas present for connections.
4:10May Sonic (33/1) has drifted out from around 14's to be the rag at 3x the price of the rest. He has a Grade 3 C&D hcp win off of 91. This is a grade 2 C&D hcp, running off of 91. What that means is he's the worst horse in the race granted, but receives a stone in weight for his troubles.
The Charlie Hills stable are a strong outfit, win their share of races, 20% on the AW this season, and haven't sent the horse to Southwell without a chance. He'll be arriving late on the scene receiving weight. Will it be enough?
6:15Bay Of Naples (20/1) is a stone off of his highest winning mark. That run was over the 1m3f here. I don't think he's running badly as of late and am surprised he's drifted from around 10/1 out to 20's. He needs to find a length on recent running. He's capable of a fair amount more than that. At 20's, I'll take my chances. Cheers, Sandracer.
7:30Tiger Crusade (14/1) is priced up as the complete rag, in fact the nearest price is 7/1. He is not half the horse of the others judging by his mark, or by the formbook, shown by a C&D win from the 96 he carries today. He's well drawn too in stall 2.
Sometimes I can't see why a horse drifts from an overnight 5/1 out to 14's. Sometimes after the race I can though. We shall see later. Cheers, Sandracer.
7:30 Kempton (AW Polytrack) 14/1 Tiger Crusade. (3rd 9/2 from 14's) in touch, pushed along and headway over 1f out, ridden and stayed on towards finish, 3rd.

6:00Peachey Carnehan (12/1) is the old boy of the race at 9, the opposition are all 3, 4 or 5. The field put together have 16 career wins, he has 15. Running off of 49 puts him right in the fun zone. So does the 12/1 on offer after drifting from 8's. So does being drawn in trap 2.
Granted he's a hold up horse. He won't win from plum last though. If he gets a decent break and gets to the bend in a nice midfield sit, he can catch the leaders up the run in. It won't be the 1st time for the old boy, or the last. Cheers, Sandracer.
6:00 Wolverhampton (AW Tapeta) 12/1 Peachey Carnehan. (4th 10/1) mid-division on inside, headway over 1f out, ridden and kept on inside final furlong, not pace to challenge, 4th.

5:00Glorious Charmer (25/1) has snuck down the weights to a winnable mark. Aidan Keeley claims 3lb which could come in handy. The 5f at Wolverhampton is not a problem.
You want the horses drawn inside to scoot off quick. Glorious Charmer to tack across and track them early from his not so favourable draw, not get stuck out wide, as has been his luck lately. Follow them around the bend and try to rattle home quick, like a rat up a drainpipe, at 25/1, easy-peasy.
7:30Caracristi (25/1) is competing off a mark of 45 currently. She has previously won off of 53 over todays distance here before.
She will be held up and if in the mood, will try to make ground mid race, especially if they go too quick up front early, and will try to run past anything and everything in the last furlong. It worked in March this year and last December, at 7/1 and 9/4. Today's drift from 11's to 25's has drawn me in. Cheers, Sandracer.
