Race Overview: Luca Cumani's Sanbuch has rather harshly been raised 3lbs for finishing a creditable fourth at Goodwood last month and may be a shade high in the weights now so preference is for Eradicate, with Philatelist rated the pick of the remainder. The selection is another to have been raised despite being beaten last time but Mark Johnston's colt only went down by the narrowest of margins at Newmarket, doing his best work at the end of the race having been headed and he should appreciate the longer trip today. Gerard Butler's Dansant made a pleasing debut at Windsor and was not disgraced in a Listed race at Hamilton last time so could be of interest dropped into a handicap today. Ed Dunlop's Wait For The Light is entitled to come on for his reappearance run at Windsor and has to be considered along with the lightly raced Philatelist, who looks to be going the right way. Eradicate has the proven handicap form though and should really appreciate this longer trip today.

Race Overview: Billich has a nice racing weight but is probably better on the all-weather, while Peter Chapple-Hyam's River Alhaarth would probably prefer a softer surface and preference is for Mr Ed. The selection has not raced on the flat since last year's Cesarewitch but has slipped to a decent mark now and Peter Bowen's gelding has been running well over fences of late so clearly still retains plenty of enthusiasm for the game and he gets the vote to resume winning ways on the level. Colloquial would have claims if improving for his first run of the campaign but is probably a shade high in the weights, while Escayola similarly looks plenty high enough in the handicap now. The Nawab is probably better than his last two runs would suggest but Mr Ed has solid claims back on the level and is taken to return to winning ways.

Race Overview: Perfect Story deserves to get her head in front having found one too good in each of her three starts this term but James Toller's mare may have to settle for minor honours again with Paradise Isle looking the most likely winner and getting the vote ahead of Creative Mind. The last mentioned has run two solid races this term and has to be respected but needs to improve on all known form to trouble the selection. Recent Newbury handicap winner Ripples Maid won in Listed race company at Chester last season and has to be respected on the pick of her form, while Leopoldine looks to be going the right way but needs to improve further to trouble the judge. Alderney is less exposed than most of these and could be of interest but it is hard to get away from Paradise Isle. Chris Wall's mare is a consistent and proven performer in this grade and looks to have been found a suitable opportunity to resume winning ways.

Race Overview: Wolgan Valley is bound to be popular for backers here and Godolphin's colt has to be respected following a pleasing debut effort at Newmarket last month but he is unlikely to represent much in the way of value and preference is for Captain Gerrard, with Menadha rated the best of the remainder. The selection stepped up on promising debut effort at York when collared late on in a decent five furlong contest at Beverley last time and, with further improvement anticipated, he looks worth a wager here. Mark Brisbourne's Secret Asset looks to be going the right way but this looks tougher for him, while a market move for Rio Sabotini would be of interest. Cayman Fox has shown signs of ability and has place claims although a bigger threat may come from Mick Channon's Menadha who showed promise on his Salisbury debut. Captain Gerrard has done little wrong in both starts so far though and he looks worth a punt to gain a deserved first success.

Race Overview: Bold Marc disappointed at Ripon last time but would have claims on earlier form when successful at Haydock; however, more solid claims are probably held by Genari who gets the vote ahead of Prince Evelith. The last mentioned was good value for his win at Beverley when last seen in September but an absence since and a 6lb rise in the weights gives Alan Swinbank's gelding more to do today. Will He Wish ran creditably on the all-weather during the winter and has claims back on turf on a fair mark, while Just Bond now looks too high in the weights for his return to turf following a decent run on the sand. Lazy Darren is less exposed than most of these and has to be respected but preference is for Genari. Paul Cole's gelding was slightly disappointing at Goodwood last month but may be worth another chance off what looks a fair mark.

Race Overview: Eager Igor has been running consistently well of late and deserves to get his head in front, getting the vote to do just that ahead of Sangreal and Stanley George. The last mentioned was very disappointing on his reappearance at Newmarket last month but is better than he showed that day and has to be respected. Perfect Courtesy failed to progress from a promising reappearance effort at Windsor last time but may have found the going too testing for him that day so may do better back on faster ground here. Alan Berry's Snow Dancer has more to do off a 6lb higher mark than when scoring at Beverley last time, while Laish Ya Hajar is less exposed than most but needs to improve. Karl Burke's Sangreal is similarly lightly raced and is another worthy of a mention but Eager Igor has solid claims on recent form and he gets the vote.
