Race Overview: With trainer David Nicholls back among the winners again, the consistent and capable Blackheath looks worth chancing in a moderate start to the evening's action and gets the vote ahead of Hit's Only Money and Brut. The last mentioned has solid claims on the pick of his form and again ran well here over the minimum trip last time but he is not as effective over six furlongs so may be booked for a place at best. Ceredig returns to sprinting after a couple of decent efforts over further but remains a maiden, while Coalite has more to do off a 4lb higher mark than when scoring on a softer surface at Ayr last month. Union Jack Jackson has shown improved form on the all-weather of late but has paid the penalty for that at the hands of the handicapper. Jim Goldie's Hit's Only Money belied odds of 33/1 when making a winning return at Ayr last month but may struggle to follow up off his new mark and a safer bet looks to be Blackheath who is taken to resume winning ways.

Race Overview: There is no form for backers to go on here with all six runners making their first start in public so what can only be a tentative vote goes to Mark Johnston's Casino Night, who gets the vote ahead of stablemate Double Attack and Moon Spray. The last mentioned has to be respected being trained by Kevin Ryan, especially now that the yard is back among the winners again and certainly makes more appeal than David Barron's Flying Sommelier who is bred to come into his own over middle distances. Karl Burke is capable of producing one to win first time out so Papillio cannot be discounted, while the David Nicholls-trained Binario Uno is bred for speed but the yard's juveniles normally come on for their first outing. Mark Johnston's Double Attack is bred to be useful but over much further than this and preference is for Casino Night who should be better suited by this trip.

Race Overview: Defi lost no caste in defeat when chasing home Networker in a handicap over the same course and distance last week and gets the vote to go one better here with the main threats looking to be Just James and Ballyhurry. The last mentioned has his first outing on the level since October but does come here fit from hurdling and cannot be discounted with conditions to suit. Quicks The Word has been running consistently but needs to improve to trouble the selection, while Slavonic belied market odds at Carlisle last time and would have claims if able to build on that effort. Neil's Legacy has given little cause for optimism of late and of more interest may be the David Nicholls-trained Just James who is better than he showed at Musselburgh last time. Defi has the pick of recent form though and is taken to make the most of the drop in grade.

Race Overview: Wahoo Sam only tends to win when getting an uncontested lead so in a race with only one other confirmed front runner, he must rate a real danger. However Mystical Ayr looks in good nick and with Royston French aboard, he gets the nod ahead of Flylowflylong. The selection tends to pull hard in his races but if he settles slightly better today, he looks sure to be involved in the finish. The ground suits and he was only beaten half a length when last seen at Hamilton. Wahoo Sam is only one pound above his last winning mark so mustn't be overlooked as he can be very dangerous if allowed to bowl along in front. Fortress didn't appear to get the trip last time out so may not be winning until he is dropped in trip, so of more interest may be Middlemarch. He looks the pick of Jim Goldie's runners and whilst he may be a tad high in the weights, he knows how to win around here. Flylowflylong holds Fortress on their running two starts back and can go well again although the ground may be a tad too quick for him. A toughie for punters, but Mystical Ayr gets the nod.

Race Overview: Stringsofmyheart needs things his own way up front but we will side with him to take advantage of this drop in class. Colditz and Patavian make it to the shortlist. The selection won well at Pontefract on his penultimate start but then disappointed next time out. Dee Valley Boy is the only horse in the lineup who has shown an aptitude for front running before but the feeling is that William Haggas's Stringsofmyheart may get a soft lead and from there he would be hard to peg back. Patavian looks an obvious danger given his aptitude for this course. He warrants plenty of respect but in truth it was a weak maiden that he won two starts back. Colditz drops in grade and David Barker's gelding will need to rediscover some of his decent 2006 form is he is to win today given his woeful recent efforts. Attila's Peintre looks the pick of Pat Haslam's pair and as the most unexposed he warrants a check in the betting, however Stringsofmyheart gets the confident nomination.

Race Overview: From a rather lengthy shortlist of Yorkshire Blue, Ice Planet, Ingleby Arch and Countdown, the nomination goes to Yorkshire Blue. Jim Goldie's eight-year-old was last seen finishing a fast-finishing second at Ripon having been outpaced at halfway. The gelding has traditionally taken several runs to come to boiling point but he shaped as if he would be winning very soon that day and on ground that suits, he can record another course and distance win to make it three wins and 2placings from six runs at the track. His draw isn't ideal but he is a horse that needs to come late and those with higher draws may just go off too quick early on and play into his hands. Ingleby Arch has been running consistently well and will love this quicker ground, whilst Dandy Nicholls is a man to be wary of in these sprints. His horses are hitting a bit of form and although neither of Machinest or Ice Planet have shown much of late, they cannot be ruled out. High Curragh is an improving young sprinter and looks a danger, along with Countdown who will love the frantic early pace but may just need a tad further on softer ground before he wins again. A very open contest, however Yorkshire Blue loves it around Hamilton and gets the vote to win again.

Race Overview: Bronze Dancer is suited by a testing track and is taken to win again at the main expense of Gigs Magic and Nero West. A winner just six days ago, Alan Swinbank's gelding will love the quick ground. A six pound penalty may not be enough to stop him winning especially now that decent claimer Paddy McDonald takes off a handy 5lb. Gigs Magic steps up in trip after losing in a photograph at Ripon last time out over ten furlongs. This looks a good move and he rates the main danger. Grey Outlook looks the pick of Linda Perratt's three although softer ground would suit more. Kyber stays all day and would be a real threat if gifted a soft early lead, whilst Nero West looks sure to have come on from his recent reappearance behind the selection. he could easily get closer this time around. Crathorne returns to the flat on a fair mark and could go well at a price, however Bronze Dancer is in form and gets the nod.
