Race Overview: Nicomedia is a tentative selection in a trappy affair with Ella Y Rossa and Paradise Walk cited as the obvious dangers. Nicomedia has had her chances in the past but has failed to capitalise. That said, Hadden Frost and Richard Hannon are both in form in their respective disciplines and in such a weak race, she looks worth sticking with on this occasion. Ella Y Rossa took advantage of a lower all-weather mark in relation to her turf rating. A couple of wins have obtained relative parity and the percentage call could be to oppose. Paradise Walk has shaped as if needing a trip in the past. Roger Charlton has had winners in the past week so there are some grounds for cautious optimism. Raquel White was perhaps overrated by the handicapper in her career and is dropping to a more realistic mark. Rowan River makes an all-weather debut. Nicomedia is in the last chance saloon for the punters but is given a final recommendation at the likely odds.
