Racing Trainer Joss Saville Uses The All Weather For Training Horses At Home
Joss Saville is another racehorse trainer who uses an all weather surface to train his horses on at home. Saville has an AW gallop in his armoury of Training Facilities at the Gisburn Park Stables, Lancashire.A good few racehorse trainers have installed AW training gallops lately. The AW surfaces are specially good for getting horses race ready or toned up fitness-wise during the winter months, where inclement weather has in the past hampered many horses training regimes.
The Farmers Guardian has conducted an interview with jumps trainer Saville where Saville states "We have an excellent all-weather gallop which has recently been built throughout natural hills and dips across the fields. We also have a horse walker and some schooling fences which are kept in the outdoor school as well as out indoor school.
We also have an Equine Hydrotherapy Spa which is brilliant for the horses to use each day for any strains or jarring up, pulled ligaments or tendons, or even if they have any flesh wounds.
I use the spa as a preventative measure. All of the horses have a session in the spa after racing."
